The Band

BEN-DAVID WARNER is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter with roots in Celtic, Classical, and Folk music. He lives with one foot in the choral music world and one in the folk music world. A former member of nationally-touring folk-rock band Scythian, he earned a Masters in Choral Conducting at The Catholic University of America in 2022. He is a church music director in Arlington, VA, and a lecturer at Catholic University - as well as a touring folk musician.

LARISSA FEDORYKA grew up performing with her family, The Fedoryka Family Ensemble, bringing her to venues such as the Kennedy Center and the Wolf Trap Family Festival. She received her Doctorate of Musical Arts in 2017 from the University of California Santa Barbara. While in California, she freelanced as a cellist, playing with local orchestras, recording as a session cellist and touring with Latin pop icon Marco Antonio Solis and Gloria Trevi. She most recently toured with Celtic-Americana band Scythian, holding down the back-line as cellist and electric bass guitarist. Currently residing in Front Royal, Virginia, she teaches Music Theory and the History of Music at Christendom College, while establishing her house concert series "Painting with Music" as well as the Green Mantle Arts and Lecture Series.

NOLAN LADEWSKI began learning the tin whistle at age 6 and began touring at 12 with the band Kennedy's Kitchen. He added the flute to his repertoire, and honing his craft, Nolan competed in the All Ireland Competition in 2000 at the age of 13. Since then he has become a veteran on the US Celtic Festival circuit touring as a full time member of the Celtic/Americana band Scythian from 2015-2018.

JULIA KWOLYK has been delighting audiences on national classical and folk stages along the east coast for the past 2 decades, including the Kennedy Center and Seiji Osawa Hall, The Dayton Irish Festival, Appaloosa, and the Scottish Highland Games in New Hampshire. A classically-trained coloratura soprano, she has been a soloist with the University of Virginia Jazz Ensemble, the Oratorio Society of Virginia, and the Connecticut Lyric Opera.  Having studied at several music schools in Boston, Furman University, and Vienna, Austria, she now lives in Charlottesville where she provides worship music at Charlottesville Community Church, plays with local acts such as Matthew McAllister and James Atkins and works for VMDO Architects, designing inspiring civic and educational buildings.  In her spare time she writes music and paints.
